Sometimes one dinner can change everything...

In the Parisian high society, where humor often turns into cynicism, a group of famous men gather once a week for a cruel game. Each one in turn brings a fool with him, whom they and their friends will laugh at. 

It is Pierre's turn and he chooses François Pignon, the perfect candidate. Or so it seems... But Pignon is not a fool, he is sincere, unpredictable and dangerous in his simplicity. In his presence, the whole game collapses in a few hours, and laughter turns into an awkward silence.

This is a comedy that makes you laugh... and then start to doubt: who is really the fool?
